How she gives him a new do is a story that will delight young and old.Author Lisa Dunn-Dern was a staff writer for the HBO-Fox TV series ROC, and directs and produces large-scale childrens theater productions in Los Angeles.
I wanted to walk into the childrens section of a bookstore and find a book with a family that looks like mine, says Dunn-Dern, who is African American and happily married to a prominent Hollywood entertainment attorney who happens to be Caucasian.
They have one daughter, now 13, and make their home in Los Angeles, Calif., and Marthas Vineyard, Mass.
