The Rotary Club of Amherst East selected Paul McAfee as its president elect for the 2004 ? 2005 year.
Rotary International will celebrate Rotary's 100 years of civic service in the year of McAfee's presidency."Paul brings international Rotary experience to our Club, having joined Rotary first in England, and having participated later as a member in Canada," said George Oliver, current president of the Rotary Club of Amherst East.
"The Club looks forward to Paul's leadership during Rotary International's centennial year."The Rotary Club of Amherst East raises money through its events, and it provides support, each year for international and local causes.
Just a few of the local organizations the Club supports include a scholarship for a student graduating from Williamsville East High School, the Boys & Girls Club of Amherst, the Amherst Symphony, Vive La Casa in Buffalo, an annual Christmas party for ECMC Hospital, and food and clothing drives.
Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help to build goodwill and peace in the world.
